PPS(Polyphenylene sulfide) is a semi-crystalline high performance thermoplastic with optimised tribological properties for demanding bearing and friction requirements. The molecular structure of PPS is comparatively simple, and the main molecular chain is alternately arrayed by benzene rings and sulfuratoms, lots of rings and sulfur and sulfuratoms supplies PPS with the rigidity resistance as well as the pliancy resistance. The inner symme trical molecular structure makes PPS easily crystal, non-polarity, good electrical resistance and low water absorption and so on.PPS is widely used in precision and chemical engineering, plant construction, aircraft and aerospace industry.

PPS advantage
PPS resin mechanical strength is not high, but afterreinforced glass fiber, carbon fiber or mineral stuff filling, its strength and stiffness are multiplied, and having excellent resistance to creep and fatigue. Its surface hardness is high, rockwell hardness > 100HR , tensile strength reach 170 mpa, bending strength > 220MPA, notched impact strength > 16MPA, bending modulus > 3.5 x 10^4
PPS has excellent heat resistance, the melting point is more than 280 ℃ . When suffering 1.8 MPA load, its thermal deformation temperature is more than 260 ℃ . Common long-term usage temperature is 220-240 ℃, PPS resin has good flame resistance, no need to add any flame retardants then reach UL94 level 0 and 5-V standard, when burning, smoke output is very low
PPS is excellent chemical resistance, just behind ptfe material, it won't dissolve in any organic solvents below 200 ℃, except strong oxidizing acid, it is also strong resistance to inorganic acid, alkali and salt . especially it is also stable in variety of radiation.
Glass fiber (GF) is a kind of inorganic non-metallic reinforcement material with excellent performance, and its variety is wide and its price is low. It has the advantages of high mechanical strength, good insulation performance, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and so on. Adding glass fiber to the material can improve the mechanical properties of the material and significantly improve its performance. With the research and development of glass fiber modification, glass fiber reinforced PPS composite has made new development on the basis of traditional and conventional, mainly manifested in the continuous increase of glass fiber content, the maximum content of GF in the injection molding process can exceed 60%, but also to maintain good processing fluidity and products have good surface finish.
